Looking to connect with other expecting families? Want to know more about the valley's many resources for birth, pregnancy and new parenting? Cradle's monthly FREE Pregnancy 101gatherings are just what you need to help you know your options. Facilitated by Vicki Elson, CCE and Ann Bucemi, CCE.  Both Ann and Vicki have spent the last 25 years working with the expecting and new parents of the Pioneer Valley.

Tue, 02/02/2010 - 7:15pm - 8:30pm

This month's film is Birthing Peace by local birth activist and midwife, Monique Gauthier. The film documents the homebirths of her two daughter, Simone and Pema. From the filmmaker: " I believe our world is evolving quickly called to midwife a new conciousness.  Part of this transformation involves holding birth as a sacred passage in which children are born peacefully."

Sun, 03/14/2010 - 1:00pm - 4:00pm

No meeting 2/14/10 due to Valentine's Day. Are you parenting multiples and looking for peer support and an opportunity to socialize regularly with other parents sharing your same journey? Are you expecting multiples and looking for advice from those who have been there? This group gathers the 2nd Sunday of every month at Cradle to share stories, experiences, wisdoms and sometimes laughter and tears too.  There is no fee for this group and it is facilitated by the membership that attends.  A small donation of $2-5 towards the use of the space is requested.

Sun, 03/21/2010 - 2:00pm - 4:00pm

This event is FREE TO EXPECTING PARENTS and is a great opportunity to come and find out more about what a birth or postpartum doula does, how they can help you and get any answers to your questions. We will do a short Q&A to discuss the above-mentioned topics, show some film clips and then you will have the opportunity to mingle with the different doulas at the event, get their information and maybe find the right doula for you! This event is sponsored by The Green River Doula Network.
